Sail Exchange's new storm sails are purpose built for maximum durability for extreme conditions. Features include 3-step zig zag seaming in heavy duty UV thread, reinforced triangular seam wedges at leech for extra leech strength and half-moon protective patches sewn at hank or slide position on luff, plus luff and leech strengthening bands underneath tapes.
Additional features include double tapes with double stitching, straight stitching on corner webbings for greater strength and 3 hand sewn rows in webbing above each corner ring for added corner integrity. Hardware includes heavy duty Rutgerson Super Rings and Swedish hanks. We fit safety secondary attachment eyelets to all Storm Jibs in compliance with rule 4.26.4.
